Privacy Policy

SnapFindIt ("SnapFindIt," "we," "us") is a sole trader business based in Australia. This policy explains what information SnapFindIt collects when you use the SnapFindIt app, and how it's used.

What we collect

Photos you search with. When you search using a photo, that photo is sent to our hosting provider's AI service to generate a short text description (colour, material, item type, and similar visible features) used to search for matching products. We do not store your photos — they're processed for that single search and then discarded. We don't use your photos for anything other than generating that search.

Search text. Anything you type to search is sent to our search partners (see below) to find matching listings.

Your recent searches and saved (favourited) items. These are stored only in your own browser's local storage on your device — not on our servers, and not tied to any account, because SnapFindIt doesn't currently have user accounts or logins. You can clear this at any time from the app's Profile screen. If you switch devices or clear your browser data, this history is gone — we don't have a copy of it.

Your region. You choose your shopping region (e.g. Australia, US, Canada, UK) yourself in the app. We don't track your precise location — this is a setting you pick, stored on your device.

Emails you send us. If you contact support@snapfindit.com, we'll have whatever you choose to send us, used only to respond to you.

Who we share information with

SnapFindIt doesn't sell or rent your information. To make the app work, a search you run is shared with our service and affiliate partners, which include Cloudflare, eBay, AliExpress, Amazon, and Frankfurter / the European Central Bank. Each partner's own privacy policy governs how they handle information once it reaches them.

None of these partners receive your name, email, or any other personal detail from us — only the search itself (your photo's description, or typed text).

Cookies and local storage

SnapFindIt doesn't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. It uses your browser's local storage only to remember your recent searches, saved items, and preferences (like your chosen region) — this stays on your device.

Children's privacy

SnapFindIt isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If a photo you search with happens to include a person, that image is processed only momentarily to generate a product description, exactly like any other photo, and is not stored.

Your choices

You can clear your local search history and saved items at any time from the app's Profile screen. Because we don't hold any of this on our servers, there's nothing further for us to delete on request — your device is the only place it's kept.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
